year of the horse, new bond street, art and mug

yesterday i went with some box fresh kicks
nike air force 1 year of the horse

they must be about 5 or 6 years old. pretty plain and i'm
not much of a fan of white trainers, but they do have
some interesting details...
nice print on the insoles...

stitched details on the heel

and a unique label on the tongue
maybe tomorrow i'll do a follow-up piece and wear my
year of the dog af-1's

i teamed them up with some marc jacobs trousers and
a leather kaws belt

we went for a look around new bond street, where this
was the window display in alexander mcqueen's shop

these were in the shop window next door
but they didn't have them in my size.

further along new bond street i saw this window
display featuring julianne moore...
... i won't do the gag !

 this new print arrived today
it's a tiny treasure island print by stanley donwood.

printed on the heidelberg machine using a metal plate
on fabriano paper.
signed by stanley donwood and stamped with the
slowly downward embossing stamp.

also today i took delivery of a very important piece of art
as close family members know very well, for a
considerable time now, i have longed for a cross-stitch
representation of my favourite london building.
today that dream came true !
unbelievable !

and finally, i just had a very strong coffee in my second
favourite mug ( yes, i rate my mugs )
it's a fire-king. i bought it in exmouth market
a few years ago but they pop up on ebay now and again.

i feel a new feature coming on here... my top ten mugs !
