torquay snapshots and observations

on the walk to torre abbey to grab a coffee i noted a newly vandalised
sign on one of the bowling greens...

as i looked around, i spotted the culprits fleeing the scene...
i tried to chase after them but they were too fast for me.

i then watched some tourists teeing off at the first hole of the pitch and putt course
if you click on this pic to see it bigger, you can see the flag he is aiming for is in the centre
of the frame... and the ball he just struck is on the right hand side, just about to hit the tree.

next up was a left hander...
click to see it bigger... he's aiming for the flag on the right... and the ball he just hit is on the top left of the frame.
hmmm...

not many people on the beach...

sales at torbay ices were slow too...

seagulls everywhere... grrr !

by the harbour i saw a family from birmingham all staring intently at the water below...
nice nike air rifts on the bloke on the right.

what the what ?!
when it's midday in london, it's 1970 in torquay.

naturally, at some point during my shoot i took a moment to shoot a self-portrait.
as a token nod to the summer weather i wore my bathing ape desert boots.
i also wore an expression which says...
" i drive for 5 hours to get here and you don't even offer me a coffee ?... grrr ! "

to cheer myself up i treated myself to a light snack...
which came very nicely packaged...

chips, fish and mushy peas
"dartiau hud" as they say in wales
