new york to new hakkasan

this blogging thing is going to have to slow down for a couple of days.
i've been back from new york for a day and a half and i've already had 3 shoots.
i've also got 2 jobs in the west end today, so i need to crack on with some editing.

yesterday morning i had a food shoot at a new restaurant. a second branch of hakkasan.
i shot the food with two different lighting and camera combinations.
one camera was this lumix g1 with a leica r-series 60mm macro lens.

while waiting for the first dish to turn up i took a quick shot of g-fog
the lights were pointing down at the table on my left hand side. not ideal for a portrait
but i kind of like it anyway.

i shot this using the modelling light from a 1 metre soft box
you can also see the other light i used... a micropro battery operated constant light source
which i used in flash mode.

it was a cracking shoot. many thanks to emily and chloe at hakkasan
for the fantastic food and the much needed coffee.
